DIRECTIONS.
Using fonts/type/typography that you have access to, create a concert poster/album cover, or something music-related that you love.

 NOTE.
Each of you are likely to have different software on different devices. You might be limited in some way, so do what you can.
...and remember, it's not always about the tools, but rather your willingness and creativity. 

 We will spend this week and next on this challenge. 
If you choose an album cover this week, choose a concert poster next week. 
Choose any genre, artist, etc. - modern or classic...even classical. 
Make up tour dates, catch phrases, etc.
Use photos & graphic from online, but make sure they are high resolution. 
Think about the TONE and SPIRIT of the music you're advertising. Choose typography that mirrors the tone and spirit of the music. Matching typography to the artist is important. 

 Remember: https://pixlr.com/ will allow you to layer images and text in a way that a phone app may not.

SYLLABUS WHAT IS GRAPHIC ART/DESIGN?  Digital Art 1  is designed to be an introduction to the  digital arts.   You will have opportunities to learn  design industry skills  such as  illustration, drawing, graphic design  and  typography, animation, and photo manipulation .  You will gain an understanding for how to use file formats for output devices such as web, color printing, 3D printing, laser cutting, and vinyl cutting.   Most importantly, you will learn how to generate ideas and learn the key components of creative problem solving which can be used in a wide variety of careers. 'SCAPES 1-3

WHAT IS DUE . 'SCAPE 1:  A Landscape with only land elements  (combine FOUR+ land elements) 'SCAPE 2:  A landscape that incorporates and integrates (through careful selection/erasing/cloning) six or more  animal/humans/object elements 'SCAPE 3:  A 'scape that is entirely of your own creation  (three+ added elements).  This can be a cityscape, landscape, surreal scape, dream scape...it does not need to grounded in reality. Odd, unexpected, surprising are good.  *A total of THREE  separate Photoshop designs/composites will need to be created to be scored.  **Total points possible: 12 (4 points per 'scape) RATIONALE  (WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?) To practice and focus skills in Photoshop regarding  layers ,  placing/rasterizing , adjusting  color/value ,  edit+transforming  selections,  selection  tools. THE THREE IMAGES. Create  THREE  separate  'scape  composite images. Use very high-resolution images (1000x1000 minimum) from image searches. See links below.
